Not all aloe products that contain aloe are created equal. A recent Bloomberg Report exposed aloe products sold at Walmart, Target and CVS did not contain aloe.
Aloe can be made from the waxy outer leaf – called ‘Whole Leaf’ or from the inner leaf, called ‘Gel Fillet’. The problem with aloe that includes any part of the whole leaf will contain high amounts of a latex called aloin. Aloin is a known laxative and skin irritant. Whole Leaf aloe should be used with caution and never be used on sensitive skin and wounds. Aloe's inner leaf ‘Gel Fillet’ is a gel-like substance that contains only small amount of aloin and is abundant in vitamins, enzymes, minerals, sugars, (polysaccharides), fatty acids, and amino acids. EcoNatura supports botanical ingredients that are trusted and verified and have maximum bioactive health benefits. This is why we chose a proprietary brand of Aloe to use as the primary base in all our skin care formulations. We never dilute our products with water. Why we choose a premium certified organic aloe? 1. Aloe is from the gel fillet of the Aloe Vera plant 2. The proprietary aloe has been scientifically proven to be up to 3 times more effective than other commercially available aloe vera 3. Our aloe not only exceeds the standards established by the International Aloe Science Council’s (IASC) Certification Program for content and purity, but more importantly, it is the only brand of aloe vera that quantify and guarantees polysaccharides. Polysaccharide's give aloe its soothing and healing benefits. Therefore, by increasing the polysaccharide content of the aloe vera its effectiveness is increased. The unique chemical-free processing technique of the aloe protects the potency of the inner leaf, allowing its robust properties to stimulate human macrophage cells that decrease inflammation and encourage tissue repair, thus effectively speeding up skin irritation, wound and burn healing. EcoNatura products are like no other. There is a purpose and a reason for every ingredient we choose. We provide skin care that is alive and active to respond to the changing needs of your skin - to clean, to protect, to heal, to nourish.
